#GeeksCare: How You Can Help the Hero Initiative with Collector’s Paradise and ‘Rocko’s Modern Life’

When Fanbase Press is not providing you with the latest in geek news and entertainment, the Fanbase Press staff hopes to offer our readers a myriad of opportunities to give back to the community. We love reading comics, watching movies, and playing video games, but we are never happier than when we are able to help others in need. With Geeks Care: How You Can Help, Fanbase Press will provide you a variety of causes that would greatly appreciate your time.

For the latest edition of Geeks Care: How You Can Help, the Fanbase Press staff would like to share news about an upcoming event at Collector’s Paradise – Winnetka to benefit Hero Initiative. Taking place on Saturday, December 9, 2017, from 7 – 10 p.m., the event will be a joint venture between Collector’s Paradise Winnetka and MacLeod Ale Brewing Co., where special guests Ian McGinty (artist – Welcome to Showside, Rocko’s Modern Life), Chris Burnham, Chris Johnson, Shannon Eric Denton, Chris Moreno, Tony Fleecs, and Rick Basaldua will be sketching on Rocko’s Modern Life sketch covers to benefit the Hero Initiative Comic Book Charity! All of the sketch covers will be sold on eBay with 100% of the net proceeds going to the Hero Initiative.

The Hero Initiative is the first federally recognized not-for-profit organization dedicated to helping comic book creators, writers and artists in need.

We hope that you will stop by Collector’s Paradise – Winnetka for this worthy initiative!

If you have a volunteer opportunity or an important cause that could use the assistance of a few geeks, please email the details to barbra (at) fanbasepress (dot) com.
