#GeeksCare: Join Fanbase Press in Donating to This Year’s Jawiin Comic Drive for Soldiers

When Fanbase Press is not providing you with the latest in geek news and entertainment, the Fanbase Press staff hopes to offer our readers a myriad of opportunities to give back to the community. We love reading comics, watching movies, and playing video games, but we are never happier than when we are able to help others in need. With Geeks Care: How You Can Help, Fanbase Press will provide you a variety of causes that would greatly appreciate your time.

For the latest edition of Geeks Care, the Fanbase Press staff would like to once again highlight the generous efforts of Jason Inman (co-host of DC All Access and US military veteran) as he endeavors to send 22,000 comic books to troops overseas by November 30, 2017, in collaboration with Operation Gratitude. Dubbed as the Jawiin Comic Drive, Inman is hoping to share the gift of geekiness with troops overseas to give them a fun reminder of home. Both new and gently used comic books are being accepted, and directions for how to donate the books are listed below. Fanbase Press is excited to join this endeavor, as we will be donating 160 comic books and graphic novels to the drive! We hope that you will join us in giving back to those who serve our country!

The steps for donating your comic books to the Jawiin Comic Drive are fast and easy!

1)  Please fill out this donation form for each box of comics that you are donating.  Put “Jawiin Comic Drive for Soldiers” in the Group Title space and the comic drive email (jawiincomicdrive (at) gmail (dot) com) on the form.  Print and include the form inside of each box.

2)  Box and ship the comics to:

Operation Gratitude
21100 Lassen Street
Chatsworth, CA 91311

3)  Send a picture of your comics and the number of books you are donating to jawiincomicdrive (at) gmail (dot) comPlease note that if you don’t send the number of comic books that you are donating to the email, they will have an inaccurate count.

It’s as easy as that! Let’s join together to show our troops how much we appreciate them!

If you have a volunteer opportunity or an important cause that could use the assistance of a few geeks, please email the details to barbra (at) fanbasepress (dot) com.
