The Arkham Sessions, hosted by Dr. Andrea Letamendi and Brian Ward, is a weekly podcast dedicated to the psychological analysis of pop culture, including Batman: The Animated Series, Steven Universe, the MCU, Star Wars, and Doom Patrol. Nostalgic, humorous, and even a little educational, each episode promises to lend some insight into the heroes, villains, and classic stories of the Dark Knight and more!

The Arkham Sessions, Ep. 270 – Supergirl (2026)

Kara Zor-El (Supergirl) is the biological cousin of Superman. But unlike her cousin who was raised from infancy on Earth, Kara is sent to the planet as a teenager. She is a stranger to the customs and cultures of humans, while also unable to ever return to her home planet, Krypton, which was destroyed. Kara rejects her cousin’s offerings to connect with her, avoiding his calls and objecting to his boy scout values. She drinks heavily, scraps with off-world outlaws, and drifts in space with her dog, Krypto… purposeless. Until Krypto is poisoned by a Brigand named Krem.
