Memory Maker 1

Project #5: Memory Maker #1

What it’s about
: Have you ever felt something intangible drain the life out of you? Or have good news give you a jolt to move mountains? Memory Maker visualizes the invisible forces we’re all familiar with, in a fantasy world where Optimism and Pessimism are more than mindsets.

There, Optimists are essential workers, who use art to ignite Inspiration – an inner light that keeps people going. A guild of Realists protects it. Pessimists drain it. What happens when we shut negativity out completely…or let it consume us? Is there a middle ground?

Those are the questions a burnt-out Optimist must face. After losing her powers, she has to relearn how to save her family from Pessimistic blight – without becoming what she’s fighting against. A story for anyone who’s ever run out of light and had to make more.
