Project #1: Till Death
What it’s about: A restless ghost from the 1960s enlists a grieving man to carry her bones across the country in a final attempt to reunite with her husband. But even the afterlife has rules, and breaking them could incur a fate worse than death.
From writers Michael Schwartz (Armored), Rachael Schaefer (The Next Step), and illustrator Gaia Cardinali (King Arthur and the Knights of Justice) comes a new ghost story that is part Frighteners and part Harold and Maude in this brand-new original graphic novel romantic horror-comedy.

Project #2: Joan: Vol. 3
What it’s about: Joan: Vol. 3 is the newest chapter in the saga of Joan of Arc, the fearless martyr of legend resurrected in an anachronistic timeline, granted immortality, an unlimited arsenal, and a fresh chance to exact revenge on the Burgundians who betrayed her, and the villainous King Henry who mercilessly executed Joan and her followers!

Project #3: Super Team International #1-8
What it’s about: As Dr. Akkula tries to treat Mr. Sleep despite suit’s automatic defenses, our comatose hero encounters the mastermind behind his nightmares, THE FIEND, who forces him to relive his greatest failures… including the death of his brother!
Meanwhile, The Goddess of Blind Love feels compelled to understand the Absorbatronix and her motives, only to learn more than she bargained for in the second part of THE NEVERENDING NIGHTMARES OF MR. SLEEP!

Project #5: Shrub: The Collected Edition
What it’s about: GLAAD Media Award-winning and Eisner and Harvey Awards-nominated publisher and media outlet Fanbase Press is proud to announce Shrub, an 8-issue Graphic Medicine series which will be crowdfunded by the publisher on Kickstarter.
In this middle grade adventure, readers will join Shrub who is, well… a shrub… for a cross-country trip to Hollywood! Join Shrub and a grieving brother and sister as they hit the open road in search of connection. On their journey, pit stops, wacky plant enthusiasts, uprooting, and re-routing abound.
The series was created and written by Emmy Award nominee Shane Portman (Tumble Leaf, Shape Island), illustrated by Andy Alves (Cosmic Cadets), colored by Sophia Du and Celia FitzGerald, lettered by Oceano Ransford (Eisner Award-nominated Rikki), and with consultation from comics librarian Moni Barrette.
Shrub explores the various ways that we allow grief to take root, inspired by writer Shane Portman’s experience with the loss of his father. The series features “Letting Grief Take Root” essays written by individuals with a personal and/or professional connection to grief who relate Shrub’s story to their own lived experience.
