Project #1: Boston Metaphysical Society: Vol. 3 Special Edition Hardback
What it’s about: If you are new to the Boston Metaphysical Society series, the original six-issue mini-series is about an ex-Pinkerton detective, a spirit photographer, and a genius scientist who battle supernatural forces in late 1800s Boston. They live in an alternate steampunk history where ghosts and demons are a normal part of life. Families known as the Great Houses control the economy of the Great States of America while the middle class and lower classes sole purpose are to serve the Great Houses.
Additionally, Mystery at Pikes Peak is about the team (Samuel, Caitlin, Granville, and Alma) fearing arrest and fleeing Boston to arrive at the only safe haven they have–Tesla’s Experimental Station in Colorado Springs. There, they meet Tesla’s most unlikely partner, Meihui Zhou, a scientist from the Great House Zhou in California. Life gets more complicated when an attempt is made on Tesla’s life and Caitlin’s psychic abilities take a dangerous turn. Now, they must figure out who is trying to kill Tesla and what Caitlin’s visions are trying to tell her before anyone else dies.
This deluxe volume features not only the complete Mystery at Pikes Peak mini-series, but includes new pin-up art, all of the previous variant covers, and a new and exclusive 11-page story, “The Wraith of Mechanics Hall,” with art by Roberta Ingranata!

Project #2: Malloch the Damned #1-2
What it’s about: He’s handsome. He’s brooding. He’s clever. Good news, fellas. He’s very gay. None of that’s nearly as interesting as the fact that Moe Malloch is also the son of the devil.
Literally. Satan’s his dad.
Moe Malloch was living his best afterlife until he came out as gay. To everyone’s shock, Satan threw him out of Hell. Of all the atrocious things humans do, being a queer son of Satan is the worst?
That’s where we meet this immortal, grumpy, magical, whisky-drinking, I-wear-a-vest-because-it-looks-so-cool Hell-reject with a wry sense of humor. He’s stuck on Earth until he can find a way back into the underworld. In the meantime, he solves supernatural crime.
In the series second installment, Moe Malloch is on the case from Hell as he ventures to Miracle, Alabama to investigate a SUSPECTED SUCCUBUS. But his mission is derailed by emotional warfare and an unfortunately timed petty crime.
Will Moe get this train back on the tracks or will he spend his last moments in the Bar Car?

Project #3: Shrub: The Collected Edition
What it’s about: GLAAD Media Award-winning and Eisner and Harvey Awards-nominated publisher and media outlet Fanbase Press is proud to announce Shrub, an 8-issue Graphic Medicine series which will be crowdfunded by the publisher on Kickstarter.
In this middle grade adventure, readers will join Shrub who is, well… a shrub… for a cross-country trip to Hollywood! Join Shrub and a grieving brother and sister as they hit the open road in search of connection. On their journey, pit stops, wacky plant enthusiasts, uprooting, and re-routing abound.
The series was created and written by Emmy Award nominee Shane Portman (Tumble Leaf, Shape Island), illustrated by Andy Alves (Cosmic Cadets), colored by Sophia Du and Celia FitzGerald, lettered by Oceano Ransford (Eisner Award-nominated Rikki), and with consultation from comics librarian Moni Barrette.
Shrub explores the various ways that we allow grief to take root, inspired by writer Shane Portman’s experience with the loss of his father. The series features “Letting Grief Take Root” essays written by individuals with a personal and/or professional connection to grief who relate Shrub’s story to their own lived experience.
