Here at Fanbase Press, we strive to provide an outlet for up-and-coming creators to promote and showcase their incredible works. With thousands of creators utilizing crowdfunding platforms like Kickstarter and Indiegogo to make those works a reality, we will highlight these talented creators and their noteworthy campaigns through #CrowfundingFridays! We hope that you will join us in giving these projects a moment of your time (and possibly your support).
Project #1: The Return of Cyrus Perkins
What it’s about: After a young boy named Michael Bernbaum dies in his taxi cab, driver Cyrus Perkins must solve the boy’s murder… or be haunted by the spirit trapped in his car! But as Cyrus digs into the mystery surrounding Mikey’s death, he uncovers something even more sinister than murder. Drawn by Anna Lencioni (storyboard artist: Amphibia, Hazbin Hotel, Luck) and written, colored, and lettered by Dave Dwonch (The Loose End, Jenny Zero, The Automaton).
We’re celebrating the 10th anniversary of Cyrus Perkins and the Haunted Taxi Cab in grand fashion: with a commemorative hardcover and the limited (to 100 copies) release of Cyrus’ next chapter, Cyrus Perkins and the Death Brigade #1.

Project #2: Letters from the Void #1
What it’s about: After eons of being the universe’s junk drawer, accumulating all of our anxieties and dread, the Void wants to spin it’s own tales of suspense.
Letters from the Void is the first in a series of small comic anthologies of existential horror featuring Ringo and Eisner-nominated talents from around the world. Issue 1 contains 5 stories and a prose introduction totaling 18 pages.

Project #3: Spryte #1
What it’s about: Spryte #1 is a 28-page, black-and-white, fantasy action/adventure comic crafted with a Pixar sensibility, while balancing a slow-burn emotional journey with plenty of big action set pieces.
Deep underground, villages and towns are ruled by sinister creatures, our story begins when Spryte slays Grail, the “protector” of Sundree. Was this a mistake? It doesn’t feel like one.
Spryte wants a place to call home, which is difficult for them when no one else looks like they do. What good is the ability to harness light when everyone is fine with the dark?

Project #4: Down Highways in the Dark…by Demons Driven
What it’s about: To bring out the potential of stories I feel like I’ve spent my whole life planning, I’ll be releasing much-expanded, limited, signed, and numbered hardcover editions of two of my books. All of my tales exist within a shared cosmic horror-laden universe and draw from various elements of my life—ranging from my childhood experiences living on isolated rural army bases to the challenges I’ve faced since then. Homelessness, the hit-and-run death of my wife, social rejection as a punk rocker in the ’80s, and living in impoverished neighborhoods where I was stabbed, shot at, and repeatedly.
