Here at Fanbase Press, we strive to provide an outlet for up-and-coming creators to promote and showcase their incredible works. With thousands of creators utilizing crowdfunding platforms like Kickstarter and Indiegogo to make those works a reality, we will highlight these talented creators and their noteworthy campaigns through #CrowfundingFridays! We hope that you will join us in giving these projects a moment of your time (and possibly your support).
Project #1: Super-Abled Comics 2025
What it’s about: Super-Abled Comics is back and better than ever! This campaign is for the second volume of Super-Abled Comics, where creators with disabilities feature original comic book characters with disabilities. This isn’t just about a comic book. It’s about creating space for disabled talent to shine, and for readers, especially kids, to see themselves as the heroes of the story.

Project #2: Area 51 Studios – Issue 1
What it’s about: It turns out that Area 51 is a secret government base, but not for storing alien corpses or crashed spacecraft. It’s actually a studio lot where aliens come to shoot low budget galactic reality shows. (The alien corpses and crashed ship were actually from a student short. Mistakes were made.) Our story centers on one alien producer in particular, Zephril Boon, as he tries to save his once-great career from the flaming dumpster fire that it’s become.
The tone is Douglas Adams meets Men in Black with a pinch of Monty Python. Based on a sci-fi comedy novella by Ernie Altbacker, Area 51 Studios is for fans that like an irreverent tone, comedy, a little violence, and nerdy references.

Project #3: Camp Fire
What it’s about: Richard Fairgray, creator of Black Sand Beach, is finally back to writing horror comics, and this is a deeply unsettling story about being lost in the woods and the illusion of safety offered by a fire.
You arrive at a camp fire. Everyone else is already there. Stories have already been told, stories you’ll never find out. All eyes are on you. What story do you have to tell?
This is a story about community, about finding friends in the darkness, about the oldest of human traditions. We are, after all, storytelling creatures.

Project #4: Fa Sheng: Origins #3
What it’s about: Fa Sheng is a death-cheating, mind-bending Shaolin Master… but he carved a long bloody road to get there. Fa Sheng’s story begins in the latter days of the 19th century when the propaganda and carnage of China’s Boxer Uprising force him to reevaluate his purpose in life, to dedicate himself to helping those in need. It isn’t easy. Between Fa Sheng and his path to enlightenment stand ruthless adversaries, backstabbing power grabbers and cowardly charlatans… any of whom would gladly dispose of anyone in their way.
In Immortal Studios’ Fa Sheng: Origins #3, our hero takes the first true step on the path of healing. But healing, like kung fu, isn’t passive. It requires discipline. Stillness. Heart. And sometimes, the courage to stand up to your own pain… If you like Shang-Chi, Kung Fu, Warrior, Avatar: The Last Airbender, Shogun, or The Grandmaster, this series is for you.

Project #5: Incident Report #1
What it’s about: Incident Report takes place in a world where superpowers are a normal part of life. People don’t have secret identities or vigilante night jobs. They become teachers or firemen. They work 9 to 5. Some fly to the office, but most take the subway.
Anne Harris is a social worker for superpowered kids. Ten years ago she walked away from the dangerous life as an ICA agent to start a family. Anne can shoot fire from her hands, but her true calling is helping superpowered kids get the support they need to grow up. When an old friend is mysteriously killed in the line of duty, Anne finds herself pulled towards the life she left behind.
