The Fanbase Press staff is very excited to exhibit at the Los Angeles County Office of Education 2026 Library Materials Fair! Taking place on Wednesday, September 30, from 9 a.m. – 1:30 p.m., at the LA County Education Center in Downey, CA, the event offers an opportunity to discover what’s new in the world of school libraries and educational resources! The Library Materials Fair is a drop-in event where you can connect with vendors, discover new products, gather ideas, ask questions, and explore resources designed to support and enhance your school library programs, collections, and learning spaces. Throughout the event, we invite attendees to stop by the Fanbase Press booth, where you can learn more about our award-winning comics and graphic novels!
Attendees will have a chance to stop by the Fanbase Press booth to learn about and purchase our award-winning comics and graphic novels, including the 2024 GLAAD Media Award-winning Four-Color Heroes, 2023 Eisner and Harvey Award-nominated Ripple Effects, 2018 Eisner Award-nominated Quince, the 2020 IPPY Award-winning Quince: The Definitive Bilingual Edition hardcover, the 2022 International Latino Book Award-winning Nuclear Power, and much more.
Plus, attendees will have a chance to learn more about Fanbase Press’ Kickstarter campaign to fund the collected edition of Shrub, a Middle Grade comic book series that follows a sentient shrub on a cross-country journey exploring the various ways that we allow grief to “take root.” The series was inspired by the loss of Emmy Award-nominated writer Shane Portman‘s (Tumble Leaf) father.
Shrub: The Collected Edition of the series which features contributions from:
