Here at Fanbase Press, we strive to provide an outlet for up-and-coming creators to promote and showcase their incredible works. With thousands of creators utilizing crowdfunding platforms like Kickstarter and Indiegogo to make those works a reality, we will highlight these talented creators and their noteworthy campaigns through #CrowfundingFridays! We hope that you will join us in giving these projects a moment of your time (and possibly your support).
Project #1: I Feel Doomed! Volume 1
What it’s about: A darkly humorous comics anthology that turns generational collapse into creative catharsis. From student debt and housing crises to climate dread and political burnout, it’s a portrait of life in perpetual freefall—told through the eyes of artists who’ve decided to stop doomscrolling and start drawing instead.
Curated by Joseph Karg (Archer, Marvel Snap!, Dear Bernadette) and published under his imprint Soup Drunk Princess, the book blurs the line between classroom and creative rebellion. Karg brings his students and industry pros into one shared space to figure out how to keep creating while everything burns. It’s part anthology, part art therapy, part group text about the end of the world.

Project #4: Tokyo Blade Detectives #1-12
What it’s about: The story is set 200 years in the future, where Japan has been rebuilt through incredible technology and several new laws. But the one that no one can break is “No Guns Allowed.”
While noble, it creates a power vacuum that is filled with groups using “laser swords.” Now, the capital of Tokyo is constantly under siege. Five factions have risen up to take everything for themselves, and our main character, Miko, a 16-year-old detective, is just trying to live through it all.
Each arc/volume is four issues long, with each story directly tying into the next one in big and small ways. Everything is connected here, and that means the payoffs are more fun as a result.
