Here at Fanbase Press, we strive to provide an outlet for up-and-coming creators to promote and showcase their incredible works. With thousands of creators utilizing crowdfunding platforms like Kickstarter and Indiegogo to make those works a reality, we will highlight these talented creators and their noteworthy campaigns through #CrowfundingFridays! We hope that you will join us in giving these projects a moment of your time (and possibly your support).
Project #1: Arks Helices 1-3
What it’s about: Arks Helices is a bio-punk noir detective story set at the end of time, where the last humans are hiding in the gravity of a corpse star as someone – or something – starts killing Arks disguised as pigeons.
Yes, we know that sounds stupid.
But beneath the fat guys huffing LSD, sugar comas, and murdered pigeons, Arks Helices is built around one of the biggest ideas in science fiction: How do we travel faster than light?
The answer here isn’t spaceships, warp drives or wormholes. It is something much smaller, weirder, and rooted in real scientific theory. Arks Helices is part of Arks, a much bigger science-faction story about a new species of human – Homo evolutis, or Arks – struggling to carry the light of consciousness to the stars. Our stories are born from real science, imagined and crafted by real people, and made for a dangerous century.

Project #2: Coop #1
What it’s about: Coop is the story of Logan “Coop” Cooper, a superhero whose depressive episodes have a tangible impact on her ability to combat villainy.
Coop is a grounded superhero drama about Logan “Coop” Cooper, a powerful, but emotionally exhausted, hero whose depressive episodes threaten to take away the very powers that define her. As the world watches and judges from the sidelines, Coop navigates a culture that demands strength while offering little compassion for vulnerability. This debut 22-page issue blends high-stakes action with raw emotional honesty, introducing a hero whose fight for mental health is as urgent as any supervillain threat.
Coop isn’t just a comic about saving the world. It’s about saving yourself when the world keeps asking for more.

Project #3: God of Rock XX: The 20th Anniversary Collection
What it’s about: Rock is dead! Or is it? Not if Pan, the God of Rock, fresh out of retirement, has anything to say about it. With his trusty ax, his best girl and a few unique allies on his side, the God of Rock must take on the forces of Anti-Rock and make the world safe once again for rock, rebellion and all that other junk.
This book will collect five 24-hour comics chronicling the adventures of The God of Rock as he struggles against his replacement and the forces of Anti-Rock to regain his lost throne. It has been described by some readers as “Scott Pilgrim meets Tenacious D.”

Project #4: SoulD #1-3
What it’s about: You can buy people’s property. You can buy people’s time. But what if you could buy their souls?
SoulD is a cyberpunk-fantasy comic about three desperate rebels uncovering a dark, surreal mystery while struggling to overcome their personal demons. It tackles the abuse of people, art and tradition by capitalist forces, and what (if anything) can be done about it.
Sisters Iona and Eilidh Camran find themselves on opposite sides of megacorp Pneuma Research’s plans to convert the human soul into a crystal form, crush it into powder and aggressively monetise the remains.
Iona once worked for them in the engineering department (much to her sister’s disapproval), but after discovering the greedy, unsettling side of Pneuma’s plans, she, Eilidh and their new soul-sculpting friend Harlan end up on the run, trying to uncover the conspiracy before Pneuma takes them out.

Project #5: Fortune #3
What it’s about: Fortune is an ongoing fantasy comic full of heart and humour, about fate, family, and the fine line between prophecy and free will.
Marcus is heir to a kingdom that worships the Raven, god of death, and he’s running from his father’s war and the destiny carved out for him. When he falls in with a trio of dysfunctional mercenaries with dark pasts of their own, they’ll have to get their acts together to stop the end of the world as they know it.
Stopping an apocalyptic empire is going to be brutal. Surviving each other might be impossible.
