Here at Fanbase Press, we strive to provide an outlet for up-and-coming creators to promote and showcase their incredible works. With thousands of creators utilizing crowdfunding platforms like Kickstarter and Indiegogo to make those works a reality, we will highlight these talented creators and their noteworthy campaigns through #CrowfundingFridays! We hope that you will join us in giving these projects a moment of your time (and possibly your support).
Project #1: Scattered Futures
What it’s about: This sci-fi collection gathers stories of human connection in a harsh and fractured galaxy. In a universe of dehumanizing systems, uncaring corporations, and ceaseless, unrewarded labor, these are tales of hope, found family, and shared humanity. The only better future is the one we build for ourselves.
Scattered Futures is a 32-page comic collecting three short stories written by Ben Crane (Systemic, Cosmic Cadets, A Man of Lies) and illustrated by Sierra Barnes (Hans Vogel is Dead), Jenny Fleming (Irea 51), and Martyn Lorbiecki (The Zone).

Project #2: The Collected Letters of Courier Z: Volumes 1-2
What it’s about: After years struggling to balance legitimate space delivery work with dodgy crime jobs on the side, Courier Z is scraping the bottom of her personal mailbag. And it’s still never enough.
Living in her ship, scraping a living with the sinister help of her shipboard computer J.E.S.S. – she’s desperate to step off this flaming treadmill.
But the interplanetary gig economy won’t let her rest for a second, as she’s faced with petty local dictators, vengeful crime families and, perhaps worst of all, a delivery professionals networking event.
The Collected Letters of Courier Z returns for a second volume, with five new post-crime parables drawn by fantastic artists.

Project #3: Banjax: Sydney #1
What it’s about: BANJAX is the dark, twisted brainchild of screenwriter Rylend Grant. The first series – published by Action Lab: Danger Zone in 2019 – made over a dozen critic’s ten-best lists was nominated for FOUR Mike Weiringo Comic Book Industry Awards, including BEST SERIES alongside Bitter Root and Something Is Killing the Children.
Ten years before the original BANJAX series, a brilliant minor league con woman – SYDNEY – hustles her way into the harem of the Prince of Brunei. Before she can make her intended score, a mysterious major league power player steps from the shadows and makes Syd a pawn in his decidedly wicked political extortion plot. With her life firmly on the line, our anti-heroine must pull the biggest, ugliest, most insane con of her life – outmaneuvering cops, assassins, and rival grifters – to escape a gilded cage on fire. INSPIRED BY TRUE EVENTS.

Project #4: Recon and the Wild One #1-2
What it’s about: This is a 24-page dystopian, robot vs. zombie comic which follows an over excited Recon bot with a mission to keep the last girl on earth, safe.
Food is scarce. Scientists go too far with bio enhancing what is left. A vine like infection grows from inside, causing a need to convert everything back to the Earth.
