Here at Fanbase Press, we strive to provide an outlet for up-and-coming creators to promote and showcase their incredible works. With thousands of creators utilizing crowdfunding platforms like Kickstarter and Indiegogo to make those works a reality, we will highlight these talented creators and their noteworthy campaigns through #CrowfundingFridays! We hope that you will join us in giving these projects a moment of your time (and possibly your support)!

Project #1: Bullet #1

What it’s about: Bullet is a Silver Age-inspired superhero romance. After college student Dale DeSouza suddenly develops super speed, he splits his time between fighting villains and courting one of the researchers helping him find out more about his powers. With its combination of thrilling adventure and budding romance, Bullet should equally appeal to everyone from middle aged fans of classic superheroes to teenaged readers of shoujo manga!

Project #2: Gray Cells

What it’s about
: David Fincher’s Se7en crossed with X-Men’s Shadow King. 130 pages of suspense as journalist, Lina Santos, hunts for a child abductor no-one believes exists.

The coolest backer reward: Obviously the comic itself, but we’ve also got either the limited edition noir version exclusively for Kickstarter, or the chance to be drawn into the comic yourself. (I think drawn in the comic would be best. What do you think?)

Project #3: Hard Struck

What it’s about
: A compelling story about PTSD in war veterans. Military personnel are more likely to be exposed to significant traumatic events than the general population. Although they are trained for the rigors of battle, this cannot always prepare them for the psychological effects experienced in a combat environment. Hard Struck follows a combat soldier as he navigates through combat operations and the effects it has on him and his team as they transition back into society. Dealing with the effects of complex PTSD, the story covers the issues veterans face day to day and highlights the importance of mateship when overcoming combat stress and mental health struggles. Codey Anderson is an ex-serving army veteran and now full time illustrator. He began his art career in illustration and 3D animation within the gaming industry. As an artist and illustrator, he’s had his work published in newspapers, books and magazines nationally and across the sea.
