As conventions return to in-person events, we at Fanbase Press feel that it is important and necessary to provide virtual access to those individuals who may experience barriers to attending such events, as well as the panel programming that occurs onsite. In the years to come, our goal is to provide as many virtual panel opportunities as possible to provide greater access not only to viewers, but to the experienced and knowledgeable panelists who may also be limited by access.
With an ever-changing social media landscape, looming printing cost increases, and never-ending calls for censorship and book bans, it’s safe to say that all members of the comic book community are anxious about what 2025 may bring for the industry.
To provide an opportunity for creators, publishers, media, retailers, librarians, and educators to discuss and troubleshoot the challenges ahead, Fanbase Press hosted a virtual forum on Thursday, December 19, 2024, hosted by Fanbase Press Editor-in-Chief Barbra Dillon.
Panelists: Charlie Stickney (writer, White Ash), Melissa Meszaros (Don’t Hide PR), Richard Zweiback (Sales rep, Walsworth), Jack Phoenix (Collection Development Manager, Cuyahoga Falls Library), Eddie DeAngelini (retailer, Hi De Ho Comics)
