Laneha House, a family run small press facilitated by creators Lawrence Lindell and Breena Nuñez, is built on the foundation of family and the love of comics, zines, and coffee. In addition to publishing comics, graphic novels, art books, zines, music, and cartoons, they also support the efforts of independent creators in their area, providing them with a safe space to bring their stories to life. Each year, Laneha House also organizes the Kinnard Awards, as a way to honor pioneering queer cartoonist Rupert Kinnard and to celebrate individuals’ contributions to comics. This year, the winners of the 2024 Kinnard Awards have been announced, including the addition of a new category: the Documenting Comics Award.
On behalf of everyone at Fanbase Press, we send our sincere congratulations to all of the incredible individuals and organizations listed below, and we join with Laneha House in sharing our thanks for their incredible contributions to the comic book industry and community.
