If successfully funded, the Mockingjay short film will provide a glimpse into Katniss Everdeen's life as the symbol of the rebellion during the events of Mockingjay. (Important to note is that this is a fan film and is not affiliated with Lionsgate or Suzanne Collins.)  The film's creators have a professional, experienced cast and crew on board who are all willing to work completely for free; no one is making any money from the film, and all funds raised will go towards renting camera and lighting equipment, costumes, props, and food for the cast and crew. 

The script of the film has already been written, the locations scouted, the shoot dates set, and a professional cast and crew chosen.  In fact, the filmmakers filmed the below test footage of actress Kristen Brancaccio as lead character Katniss Everdeen to give fans and potential backers a sense of the realism, special effects, and grittiness that the film will involve.  In addition, the filmmakers and actress Brancaccio are very interested in interacting with fans and encourage you to contact them on Twitter (@kristensreality).
