The Arkham Sessions, Ep. 201: ‘Star Wars: The Force Awakens’

The Arkham Sessions, hosted by Dr. Andrea Letamendi and Brian Ward, is a weekly podcast dedicated to the psychological analysis of pop culture, including Batman: The Animated Series, Steven Universe, the MCU, Star Wars, and Doom Patrol. Nostalgic, humorous, and even a little educational, each episode promises to lend some insight into the heroes, villains, and classic stories of the Dark Knight and more!

The Arkham Sessions, Ep. 201 – Star Wars: The Force Awakens

In this episode, we talk about the first film in the Star Wars sequel trilogy, The Force Awakens. Our young protagonists experience feelings of loneliness, parental abandonment, and disillusionment. We do not go easy on the Jedi. We question the methods of the older generation–especially Luke–and their binary fixation on “light” and “dark,” and an unwillingness to accept a fuller range of emotions!
