I must admit, I jumped into Star Wars: Legacy without knowing what I was getting myself into. But, I will say that I’m glad I did.
Like any Star Wars saga, I am grateful for the recap at the beginning of each comic book. Without this recap, I would have been lost. The story was a bit confusing at first without knowing all the characters’ backstories and whatnot, but Brian Albert Thies helped me to understand the current situation as best he could through his beautiful artwork.
What really impressed me–or should I say–WHO really impressed me was Ania Solo. Corinna Bechko and Gabriel Hardman’s script captured Solo in a way that perfectly represented both of her parents, two characters we all know very well. To me, Ania appeared to be a high-strung fighter like her father, yet also diplomatic like her mother. I look forward to reading more about her in future issues.

As for the Sith, I don’t believe they died with Darth Wredd. As much as I enjoy a classic story of good and evil fighting together to destroy a more powerful evil, this is Star Wars. Our favorite galaxy far, far away was never all about being a “good” universe. There must exist a balance between the force. This means that either Wredd isn’t dead (Hey, that rhymes! #WreddIsntDead) or where there is Sith, there is also always a Master . . .
Until next issue, may the force be with you!
