Fellow Star Warsians! (Is that a thing? an I make this a thing?)  We are officially less than 3 weeks away from Star Wars: The Last Jedi hitting theaters, and this scruffy looking nerf herder can’t bear his excitement.  Whatever will I do to pass the lightyears?

Oh, I know!  IDW Publishing has a brand new issue of Star Wars Adventures, and I’m sure these fun stories will keep my overjoyed heart at bay.  Or at least on Endor.

Last month, in Star Wars Adventures #3, we learned a little more about Stormtrooper-turned-good-guy Finn in “Pest Control.”  And what’s better than that, other than reading about K2 from Rogue One and his Wookie babysitting adventures in “Tales from Wild Space.”

Which brings us to issue #4 of Star Wars Adventures, in which Luke and Leia have an adventure of their own in “The Trouble at Tibrin,” taking place between the stories of A New Hope and Empire Strikes Back, which means Luke doesn’t know Leia is his sister yet.  Let’s just hope their fun doesn’t lead to another unintentional and incestuous kiss…

Meanwhile, in “Tales from Wild Space: Mattis Makes a Sound,” we meet Mattis Banz, an orphan farm boy from the planet Durkteel.  When confronted by his first bully, Mattis must make a decision—will he defend his friend, like Luke and Leia would have done?  Or will he run and hide like the Empire?

Shout-out to returning story writer Landry Q. Walker for “The Trouble at Tibrin,” as well as Ben Acker and Ben Blacker for their work on “Tales From Wild Space.” As much as I love learning more about my favorite Star Wars characters and what happened to them between films, I also love fresh stories about how the heroes of these tales inspired those amongst the universe.  And with stunning artwork and colors brought to you by Eric Jones, Charlie Kirchoff, Annie Wu, and Lee Loughridge, this team is surely made up of people whose talent is out of this world!

But at least until our next comic book adventures in a galaxy far, far way, I know one thing’s for sure…

THE LAST JEDI COMES OUT IN ALMOST 2 WEEKS!!!

Until then,
May the Force be with you!
