Has anyone else been reading TMNT Universe?  It’s really good, you guys!  The gods of comic books—a.k.a. Kevin Eastman, Bobby Curnow, and Tom Waltz—have created another hopefully ongoing series, and I’m curious to know if we’ll only see some characters in one series and the rest in the other.  But only time will tell…

In the meantime, we have TMNT #63 to keep us occupied so far this October.  If you remember from last month, we discovered that Master Splinter had actually planned for the Street Phantoms to kidnap Donatello’s friend, Professor Harold.  But this new situation has given The Foot the opportunity to finally attack under Splinter’s new regime.

This month, we find out just how clever Professor Harold can be, and it appears he doesn’t need his own rescue team after all.  Meanwhile, our heroes-in-a-half-shell prepare for war, and is Casey Jones now the leader of the Purple Dragons?  When did that happen!?

Writers Kevin Eastman, Bobby Curnow, and Tom Waltz show us month after month that the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles are more than just a comic book series; rather they’re part of the New York City many of us have come to know and love.  I read these storylines every few weeks and feel like these pizza-loving reptiles are my friends.  And with artists like Dave Wachter and Ronda Pattison on this team, this is truly a comic book series for our generation.

As always, I look forward to seeing our heroes fight their way out of this one, but, more importantly, my only hope is that this family will learn to trust each other and always stick together…

Until next month,
#TurtlePower
