Ruby’s obsession with getting her looks back from Identity Thief finds her perched on a rooftop stalking the face-stealing power user! She’s ready to do anything to feel like herself again, but with Lightning Storm’s powers in the mix, it may not be easy. Can Ruby trust her teammates and friends to come through and protect her from impulsiveness?

Geek-Girl #15 finally gives readers the much-anticipated fight between Ruby Kaye/Geek-Girl and the face- and power-stealing Identity Thief, but it doesn’t stop there. There’s insights into the inner workings of Summer’s new pals, The Hive, plus Geek-Girl’s super friends show up in force to back up their short-sighted leader.

The pages of the final issue of the Identity Crisis arc burst with action and enjoyable fight scenes; however, one off-handed comment about who Ruby truly wants to be made me wonder if further stories could explore an identity crisis that extends more than skin deep. She’s never been completely comfortable as a super heroine (that’s more Summer’s jam), so would Ruby change the past if she could? Only additional stories may tell!

Geek-Girl #15 gave me everything I wanted for a great finale, and I’m only disappointed that there was no big reveal of Identity Thief’s original persona. (They may not even know anymore though.) While this ended one storyline in the Ruby Kaye-verse, I’m sure the team has more in store. Acorn Ridge, Maine’s best-known super heroine, can’t stay undercover for long!
