Hola, Wonder Fans! Welcome to this week’s edition of Wonder Woman Wednesday. I trust you have all have a “wonderful” week.
The excitement continues to build as we get ever closer to the release of the Wonder Woman feature film on June 2, 2017. It seems like just yesterday we were counting down Wonder Woman’s big-screen debut in Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice, and here we are less than three months away from Wonder Woman’s solo film debut. There was so much hype and excitement swirling around Gal Gadot’s performance as Wonder Woman, but I think it’s safe to say that this will definitely be the summer of Wonder Woman. I can’t think of a better exclamation point to wrap up the Amazing Amazon’s 75th year anniversary.
My wallet and I do cringe a little as I see all of the merchandise starting to pop up – most notably the awesome Barbie Collection coming to celebrate the film’s release. I, for one, can’t wait to see our beloved Wonder Woman own the box office this summer. If the recently released trailer is any indication, I think we are in for a major thrill ride.
I’m happy to announce that I will be attending WonderCon on Saturday, April 1st, to represent Wonder Woman Wednesday. WonderCon is a comic book convention taking place at the Anaheim Convention center in Anaheim, California, from March 31st to April 2, 2017. I will be appearing at the Fanbase Press booth (SP-99) from 1 to 2 p.m. on Saturday August 1st. I will be giving away an exclusive Wonder Woman Wednesday mini poster (quantities limited.), as well as selling some of my own comics, Blonde Squad and Going Gaga! If you ask real nice, I may even draw you a Wonder Woman sketch! Please come by and say hello. I’m looking forward to the chance to meet other Wonder Woman fanatics. I’d love to chat with fellow Wonder Fans and get some pictures to give some Wonder Love our “I Am Wonder Fan” Facebook page.
I guess that’s all for this week. I hope to see you all at WonderCon! I’ll be sure to hunt down and report all things Wonder Woman for those of you who won’t be in attendance. I’ll see you next week! I’ll try to post a preview of the free Wonder Woman Wednesday mini poster. Make sure to follow me on Instagram @michaelfitztroy.
