Though beginning with more superhero fare (The 10th Muse, Atlas), Bluewater Productions has become known best for its bio-comics, featuring comic biographies of celebrities, politicians, historical figures, and even prominent authors.

This time Suzanne Collins, the author of The Hunger Games (Perhaps, you’ve heard of it?), is the feature of her very own bio-comic from Bluewater. The book follows the early life and career leading up to her work on the infinitely popular Hunger Games series. With the film version coming out in March, fans will want to get their hot little hands on what is certain to be an essential piece in any Hunger Lover’s collection. (Heaven knows I’m gonna have to swindle a copy for my fanatic friends, Barbra, Anne, and Jeffrey!)

Sporting a cover by one of my favorite artists, Joe Phillips, I thoroughly enjoyed learning a little more about the mind behind the Hunger. Michael Troy is a deeply superficial person. Sitting alongside industry heavyweight Phil Jimenez at the “Divas and Lassoes” panel for the 2010 San Diego comic-con, Michael maintains and cherishes his “underground” status.
