Here at Fanbase Press, we strive to provide an outlet for up-and-coming creators to promote and showcase their incredible works. With thousands of creators utilizing crowdfunding platforms like Kickstarter and Indiegogo to make those works a reality, we will highlight these talented creators and their noteworthy campaigns through #CrowfundingFridays! We hope that you will join us in giving these projects a moment of your time (and possibly your support)!
Project #1: The Mind of James Svengal
What it’s about: Struggling with PTSD, James battles his inner psyche and his addiction. He’s trying to keep himself together while falling apart. An honest account of personal struggle, touching on themes of addiction, loss, alienation, and recovery, The Mind of James Svengal is a heartfelt, uncompromising, and surreal account of one man’s journey back to himself; however, first he must confront truths about himself, his relationships, and his past. Follow this troubled artist, hooked on experimental pills, as he takes a series of surreal trips into his subconscious – but is he ready for what he’ll find there? The Mind of James Svengal is a full-color, 180-page graphic novel by Lyndon White and Jordan Sam Adams.

Project #2: Active Radioactive Radio: The Web Series
What it’s about: Active Radioactive Radio is a post-apocalyptic comedic web series about a terribly lonely man trapped in a bunker, who starts a radio station to connect with the outside world. The pilot is already produced and available at the Kickstarter link, and we’re now raising funds to make more episodes!
The coolest backer reward: Several reward tiers include the option for you to submit a question about surviving in the post-apocalypse to the show’s host, Johnny Franks, which he will answer on screen in an episode!

Project #3: Gilded Age: Vol. 1 – A Steampunk Graphic Novel
What it’s about: The Gilded Age is about a group of performers, actors, and carnival folk who are searching for direction and refuge from the greater world. Each issue focuses on building the world from the eyes of a different character, allowing for Western or horror or fantastical stories to be told against this backdrop.
The coolest backer reward: The $300 allows for someone to design a character for the Gilded Age Carnival and get one of our artists to create a pinup of the character!
