Here at Fanbase Press, we strive to provide an outlet for up-and-coming creators to promote and showcase their incredible works. With thousands of creators utilizing crowdfunding platforms like Kickstarter and Indiegogo to make those works a reality, we will highlight these talented creators and their noteworthy campaigns through #CrowfundingFridays! We hope that you will join us in giving these projects a moment of your time (and possibly your support).
Project #1: The Hectic Love Lives of the Mythical
What it’s about: It’s tough trying to find a partner when you have supernatural abilities, and so this series of short tales examine what it’s like for well-known mythical beings to navigate the dating scene.
These explorations are full of benevolence, softness, and humor because life’s too short to not laugh and indulge! They strive to pick apart how challenging relationships—and finding true love—can be, no matter for who.
They are lighthearted reflections on the universal concept of finding your better half no matter what can get in the way. Especially when that complication is literally mystical!

Project #3: The Family Graves: Spell of the Space Witches #1
What it’s about: Scheming to weaponize Phil’s new quantum communications satellite and make spells available on demand, Tessadora–a witchy girlboss–attacks The Family Graves from within and without, forcing young Nori to navigate her growing siren powers, mean girls, family ties, and the stygian allure of witchcraft.

Project #4: Sussex: Chapters 3 and 4
What it’s about: Archie; an agent of the Special Operations Executive (SOE) is sent from London into occupied France as part of a Jedburgh operation to disrupt the German war machine. What awaits him is a test of mental fortitude.
It’s Memento meets Allied. All roads lead home…
In the wake of his operation, we pick up with Archie in Chapters Three and Four; his mission now is to make it back home. The Fifth Column are scrambling, itching to infiltrate Blighty. A perilous journey awaits Archie and the only way home is to place his trust in others.
Reliving his time in the war Archie seeks to understand what has plagued him in the years since. His safety in rumination is beginning to crumble and all he can do is hope that his wife; Alice, will forgive him for what he did to get back to her.

Project #5: Tokyo Blade Detectives #1-12
What it’s about: The story is set 200 years in the future, where Japan has been rebuilt through incredible technology and several new laws. But the one that no one can break is “No Guns Allowed.”
While noble, it creates a power vacuum that is filled with groups using “laser swords.” Now, the capital of Tokyo is constantly under siege. Five factions have risen up to take everything for themselves, and our main character, Miko, a 16-year-old detective, is just trying to live through it all.
Each arc/volume is four issues long, with each story directly tying into the next one in big and small ways. Everything is connected here, and that means the payoffs are more fun as a result.
