Here at Fanbase Press, we strive to provide an outlet for up-and-coming creators to promote and showcase their incredible works. With thousands of creators utilizing crowdfunding platforms like Kickstarter and Indiegogo to make those works a reality, we will highlight these talented creators and their noteworthy campaigns through #CrowfundingFridays! Project #1: Feeding the Dark
What it’s about: Feeding the Dark is an all-new 100-page horror story by GLAAD Award-winning creator Richard Fairgray about running head first into your darkest desires. When a fascination with childish magic becomes tired, and interest in the world begins to wane, there’s nowhere left to turn to but the dark.
In the dark, you can make your own light. You can be hidden. You can be anything. If you’re lucky, you’ll find others who share this need. If not, you might just be wrapping yourself in a blanket of justifications for the person you never wanted to become.

Project #2: Elephant Eater Comics Annual Dispatch
What it’s about: The Elephant Eater Comics Annual Dispatch by Eisner Award nominee Ryan Claytor features a variety of artwork he’s produced with a focus on process information detailing how each piece came to be. This book spotlights one year of his projects and will be printed in a large newspaper format!

Project #3: Bad Future: Volume One
What it’s about: Four stories and fifty plus pages of comics showcasing a variety of styles, but all taking a hard look at our dystopian future and asking how we can survive, find hope, and hold on to our humanity.

Project #4: Destined for Something Greater
What it’s about: Destined for Something Greater is a dark, medieval fantasy story where you explore a world ravaged by war between humans and centaurs! As human influence has spread through the land of Helsene, houses conspire against each other to seize power in the realm. Centaurs are trying to find peace as they are forced to fight for survival. In an unlikely turn of events, a human and centaur recognize their goals align and decide to team up.

Project #5: Scott Snyder Presents: The Cloakroom #1-5
What it’s about: This issue includes 50 pages of surprising, sometimes dark, and sometimes very funny, genre-spanning and genre-bending stories, and you can pick up the first four issues if you missed those campaigns. That’s 30+ stories and 300 comics pages that we’ve done so far!
The stories were all written by members of Scott Snyder‘s writing class/workshop, which he operates through his Substack, Our Best Jackett. Many of the featured stories were written with his guidance.
