Systemic V1 KS

Project #2: Systemic Vol. 1: A Sci-Fi Anthology

What it’s about
: Systemic is a sci-fi comics anthology collecting stories of individual people at the points where societal forces clash.

In the tradition of classic science-fiction magazines like Analog and Weird Tales, we’ve gathered leading and rising stars from both mainstream and indie comics and set them loose to tell the stories that move them. We live in an unprecedented era, buffeted about by monolithic forces—cultural, technological, economic, and governmental—as intractable as the tides. They are, you might say, Systemic. These are stories of the small, the insignificant, and the infinitely critical human lives where these forces meet and mesh and grind together.

Allison Strange 2 KS

Project #3: Allison Strange #2

What it’s about
: Welcome to Alaska’s Inside Passage — a land of isolated seaside towns, forgotten tragedies, and old ghosts. The eerie, continent-spanning Tongass Forest starts at your back door and doesn’t stop till the Atlantic Ocean.

There, you’ll find a store with the last gas till Juneau for truckers and more unusual travelers. Only one thing keeps the store’s sole employee sane: Sometimes, the door to the beer cave doesn’t lead to the beer cave. Sometimes, it opens to the backroom of a mysterious antique shop filled with cursed artifacts.

This is Allison Strange’s new, weird life. And it’s not exactly helping her sense of alienation.
