Project #1: Bixby Grant, Private Eye: Fangs & Brimstone #1-2
What it’s about: Written by Patrick Coyle, with main story art by Gonzalo Martínez, colors by Arthur Hesli, and backup story art by Gonzalo Ruggieri, the second issue of Fangs & Brimstone stars everyone’s favorite mummy detective, Bixby Grant!
Tension is high in Harbor City: Four volunteers from the corrupt Mayor’s re-election campaign have been found dead, killed in elaborate cult ceremonies. The Mayor and his supporters blame the supernatural citizens of Harbor City for the killings, making every monster in city limits a suspect – including our heroes, Bixby Grant and Diego the rockabilly vampire! Bix dodges the cops, seeks help from old friends, and shakes down a cat burglar to try and solve this case before another body turns up. But will Bix’s personal history with the murder weapon cause him to push things too far, igniting the powder keg that is Harbor City?
It’s Hellboy meets The Spirit, with the tone of Batman: The Animated Series.

Project #2: unSEEN/unHEARD: Disability & Neurodivergence Comic Anthology
What it’s about: From the editors that brought you Scott Snyder Presents Tales from the Cloakroom vol. 1 and the Ringo-nominated creator of Etheres comes unSEEN/unHEARD: Disability & Neurodivergence, a 64-page anthology that collects 12 new slice-of-life, romance, sci-fi, fantasy, and horror short comics about dealing with disabilities or being neurodivergent.
It was vital that stories about neurodivergent people and those with disabilities be told by people with those conditions. Similarly, creators with these conditions often find it difficult to make comics consistently, from financial barriers to constant interruptions to the creative process because their energy must go to simply…existing. As such, the creators wanted to produce this anthology to give those who might not usually get to tell their stories a platform to do so.

Project #5: Ripple Effects: The Deluxe Edition Hardcover
What it’s about: Jordan Hart’s critically acclaimed graphic novel, Ripple Effects, has been nominated for the biggest awards in comics and now, on the eve of its 15th anniversary, GLAAD Media Award-winning publisher Fanbase Press has launched the company’s first-ever Kickstarter campaign to fund an expanded deluxe hardcover edition of the book, featuring all-new contributions from some of the biggest names in comics. Ripple Effects follows the adventures of a superhero whose invincibility is offset by an acute case of type 1 diabetes and a defective pancreas that must be monitored and treated daily. The gripping and inspirational story about living with an invisible illness is inspired by writer Jordan Hart’s own lived experience with thrombophilia, an incurable blood-clotting disease.
Ripple Effects was created, written, and colored by Jordan Hart (The Cabinet, Terminarch, Doppelgänger), illustrated by Bruno Chiroleu (El Borde, Mara and Samu), flatted by Shane Kadlecik, lettered by Oceano Ransford (Eisner Award-nominated Rikki, The Sequels, Haphaven), and features cover art by Justin C. Harder (CLAUS Studios) and a foreword by Matthew Noe (librarian, Harvard Medical School).
Striving to increase awareness and representation for individuals with invisible illnesses and disabilities, Ripple Effects: The Deluxe Edition will feature new forewords by Eisner and Harvey Awards-winning writer Gail Simone (Birds of Prey, Batgirl, Uncanny X-Men) and actor/writer Todd Stashwick (Star Trek: Picard, 12 Monkeys), an afterword by Eisner Award-winning writer John Jennings (Silver Surfer, Kindred: A Graphic Novel Adaptation), study guides by Eisner Award nominee and educator Tim Smyth (Teaching with Comics and Graphic Novels) and comics literacy advocate Creators, Assemble!, and an art gallery which pairs youth artists who have invisible disabilities and illnesses ranging from deafness to Autism Spectrum Disorder with superstar artists including Drew Zucker (Canto), Liana Kangas, Ray-Anthony Height (Midnight Tiger), Don Aguillo (Spawn), and Manuel Martinez (DC, Marvel). The deluxe hardcover also features “Unseen Ripples” essays written by individuals with invisible disabilities and illnesses who relate Ripple Effects‘ events to their own lived experience, ranging in topic from paranoid schizophrenia to diabetes.
