Here at Fanbase Press, we strive to provide an outlet for up-and-coming creators to promote and showcase their incredible works. Project #1: The Iron Barge: Book One
What it’s about: A duty-bound otter and an outlaw lemur must learn to trust each other as they flee a vengeful band of pirates in a post-apocalyptic Las Vegas ruled by animals. The Iron Barge is a talking-animal adventure story in the tradition of Mouse Guard, Watership Down, and The Jungle Book. Loaded with high-stakes action, a little bit of humor, and unique world building, it’ll be a book appropriate for upper-middle grade and YA readers, or anyone seeking a new twist on dystopian fiction.

Project #2: The George Bess Classic Horror Collection
What it’s about: Magnetic Press recently announced its campaign for The George Bess Classic Horror Collection of original graphic novels, featuring the lush and unparalleled illustration of Georges Bess, known internationally for his extensive body of work with notorious writer and director Alejandro Jodorowsky. The collection will include Victor Hugo’s THE HUNCHBACK OF NOTRE DAME, Bram Stoker’s DRACULA, and Mary Shelley’s FRANKENSTEIN.
Each 9”x12” hardcover will feature deluxe foil-stamped design elements on the cover, along with Magnetic Press’ signature curved corners. Printed on uncoated woodfree paper, Bess’s intricately detailed line art is reproduced at a stunning archival level of quality.

Project #3: Catgirls, Dungeons and Zombies! 3 Fantasy Adventures
What it’s about: What happens when you get a bunch of queer neurodivergents who love to draw together? We make comics that cater to our very specific hyperfixations!
Presenting: CATGIRLS, DUNGEONS AND ZOMBIES!
Our campaign is to fund the creation and production of three comics: Nyaegling, My Level 5 Party Doesn’t Get Along, and A Hole New World.
