Here at Fanbase Press, we strive to provide an outlet for up-and-coming creators to promote and showcase their incredible works. With thousands of creators utilizing crowdfunding platforms like Kickstarter and Indiegogo to make those works a reality, we will highlight these talented creators and their noteworthy campaigns through #CrowfundingFridays! We hope that you will join us in giving these projects a moment of your time (and possibly your support).
Project #1: Octopolis #1
What it’s about: Tired of dystopias? Consider Octopolis, the post-apocalypse where things haven’t gotten worse. What’s changed, you ask? The humans are extinct! Now there’s a new intelligent species stirring up trouble: the octopus.
Octopolis is a sci-fi fantasy comic written and illustrated entirely by S.S. Julian. And it’s the only non-dystopian post-apocalypse you’ll find on shelves (about cephalopods, anyways!)

Project #2: Devour
What it’s about: Devour is an atmospheric horror manga about a demon hunter fighting through a monster-infested hospital to slay a creature with the power to weaponize dreams. It’s a mash-up of the surreal dream sequences of A Nightmare on Elm Street with the kinetic action of the Blade films.

Project #3: Farmor Stina
What it’s about: Are you a World War 2 buff? A history nerd? A fan of slice-of-life comic books? A person who knows how to actually organise and conserve old items and writings? I invite you to come along with me as we delve into the real-life events of my grandmother’s early life in Northern Sweden!
My aim is to have the Prologue deal with the beginning of World War 2 from her perspective up in the North of Sweden, living in a religious home that is turned into a field hospital for the military. I want to use her experiences with certain things as a jumping point to elaborate on other cultural curiosities and historical events from that part of Sweden, as well.
