Here at Fanbase Press, we strive to provide an outlet for up-and-coming creators to promote and showcase their incredible works. With thousands of creators utilizing crowdfunding platforms like Kickstarter and Indiegogo to make those works a reality, we will highlight these talented creators and their noteworthy campaigns through #CrowfundingFridays! We hope that you will join us in giving these projects a moment of your time (and possibly your support)!

Project #2: Journey of a Troubled Mind
What it’s about: Journey of a Troubled Mind is a graphic novel/picture book inspired by classic fantasy novels, mythology, pop art, stories such as Alice in Wonderland, The Little Prince, and many more. Text and artwork work hand-in-hand to create a unique allegory. On the surface, it appears as a typical fairy tale about the hero’s journey. However, there is much more hiding between these pages. It is a diary of the unconscious mind, sort of a mirror for a shadow side of human nature. The underlying structure overlaps with the concepts of collective archetypes, mentioned first in the works of Swiss psychiatrist Carl Gustav Jung.

Project #3: If I Was a Few Inches Taller
What it’s about: The Oswald Chronicles is the story of a fledgling sorcerer who happens to be a mouse who lives in NYC along with fae, orks, trolls, ogres, Kalsions, and Grogs — unbeknownst to the humans who inhabit the grand city that hosts them all. We’re back with two fantastic tales that continue our favorite mouse’s growth into his role as gentlemouse and sorcerer.
