Project #1: Sam Kieth’s 2021 The Maxx Calendar
What it’s about: The Maxx is a comic book created by Sam Kieth. Published by Image Comics, it ran for 35 issues from 1993 to 1998. While Kieth was the artist and the main writer, The Maxx has writing credits with Alan Moore and Bill Messner-Loebs. In 2013, the comics were republished by IDW Publishing with new covers by Kieth and new colors by Ronda Pattison. The Maxx also had an animated TV mini-series in 1995 that showed on MTV.
The Maxx story: The comic books follow the adventures of the purple hero in two worlds: the real world and an alternate reality called the Outback. In the real world, Maxx is a “homeless man living in a box,” while in the Outback, he is the powerful protector of the Jungle Queen, who exists in the real world as Julie Winters, a social worker who often bails Maxx out of jail. While Maxx is aware of the Outback, Julie is not, though it is essential to both of their stories.
This 12-month wall calendar features a selection of Kieth’s cover art from the original run by Image Comics and covers from the IDW Publishing run. The two covers of the calendar are new unpublished works by Kieth.

Project #2: Jaws! Through the Multiverse
What it’s about: The anthology comic, Jaws! Through the Multiverse, contains two volumes and over 80 artists. This anthology is a gonzo ride through the Jaws multiverse. We know the events that took place on Earth-414 on Amity Island, when Jaws was viciously destroyed by those three hooligans. But what about the countless other versions of Jaws that exist across the multiverse? Such as when he’s a Barbarian, or a Luchador, or a crime boss, or a giant mechanical sea monster. This anthology explores some of those many adventures.
We’ve recruited an outstanding collection of underground artists, each with their own unique styles. The lineup also includes work from Josh Bayer, Benjamin Marra, Adam Falp, Russell Taysom, Patrick Ian Rooks, Robin Bougie, Justin Stewart, and so many more.
