Here at Fanbase Press, we strive to provide an outlet for up-and-coming creators to promote and showcase their incredible works. With thousands of creators utilizing crowdfunding platforms like Kickstarter and Indiegogo to make those works a reality, we will highlight these talented creators and their noteworthy campaigns through #CrowfundingFridays! We hope that you will join us in giving these projects a moment of your time (and possibly your support)!

Project #1: Strange Encounters
What it’s about: From the team that brought you the Eisner Award-winning and Diamond Gem Award-nominated Puerto Rico Strong Anthology (Marco Lopez, Derek Ruiz, and Neil Schwartz) and publishing company Kill Skull Comics, Strange Encounters is a 64-page, full-color trade paperback anthology about magic, mystery and the Strange Encounters that happen when you meet beings of the supernatural kind.

Project #2: Catalyst
What it’s about: Catalyst is a 40-page one-shot comic book following mercenary Dom Cross. Betrayed and left for dead, Dom’s quest for revenge leads him back to the USA where he becomes embroiled in an underworld power struggle while hunting down the unit of mercenaries he once called family.
The coolest backer reward: Catalyst Deluxe Edition featuring additional pages of production extras giving an inside looking into the creative process.

Project #3
: Stud and the Bloodblade
What it’s about: Big, beefy barbarian protects an alien world of castles and rocketships, monsters and puns. If his epic weapon doesn’t get the blood it craves, a curse turns the barbarian into a scared little weakling named Gary.
The coolest backer reward: STUD is really inspired by HE-MAN, so we created an ashcan preview comic in the style and size of the mini-comics that came with the HE-MAN figures I loved growing up. We’re going to be offering them at Power-Con, an annual HE-MAN and SHE-RA festival.
