The staff of Fanbase Press would like to wish you and yours a very happy International Museum Day! Every year since 1977, International Museum Day is organized worldwide around May 18.

This day is an occasion to raise awareness on how important museums are in the development of society. 

ICOM (International Counsel of Museums) Advisory Committee organizes the theme of this event that, given the high number of countries involved, lasts a day, a weekend, a week, or even a month. 
Museums and contested histories: Saying the unspeakable in museums is the theme of International Museum Day 2017. According to the ICOM website, the mission of International Museum Day is to raise awareness of the fact that, “Museums are an important means of cultural exchange, enrichment of cultures and development of mutual understanding, cooperation, and peace among peoples.”
