Don't get me wrong; I love strippers. I'm sorry-- exotic dancers. Is that the PC term for people who take off their clothes and rub their boobs on the chuttles of anyone who has the right amount of cash for a proper lap dance? I mean, I finally have come to terms with the fact that I'll never have the physique to be a go-go boy. Hell, my friend, Scotty, and my favorite movie is Showgirls. "We're all whores, darlin'."

Being partial to blondes and a sucker for a man that can hold his breath for long periods of time, Aquaman was the DC Nu title I was looking forward to the most, right after Wonder Woman. (See my less-than-flattering review of everyone's favorite reanimated ball of clay elsewhere on this site.) Certainly not yer granny's fish sticks, DC Nu's Aquaman #1 by Geoff Johns and Ivan Reis is no bucket of chum. No longer flopping around on the deck of the Justice League's yacht, Geoff Johns has transformed aqua stud into one tough tuna.

I love to fly and it shows. Sure, that's not the tag line for Pan Am, but I never said it was. I came to fly. Admittedly, my expectations for ABC's new drama, Pan Am, were to the moon, richly due to the casting of Christina Ricci (whom never fails to interest me). Throw in a concept where women are flying sex dolls with a weight requirement and 3-inch "stow me" pumps and count me in.

Okay. Um. Okay. Yeah. So, with the DCnU launch of 52 New #1s, I admit Wonder Woman was one of the titles I was most excited about. Cautiously optimistic albeit, but excited nonetheless. Can you blame me? After the promise and subsequent let down of previous "bold and exciting new adventures" from sure-fire bets such as Allan Heinberg, Jodi Picoult, and even fan fave Gail Simone, I always want the monthly Wond-y book to be stellar but know all too well there is a better-than-not chance it's gonna suck big, giant donkey balls. So, how was acclaimed writer Brian Azzarello's (100 Bullets, Batman: Joker) new "horror take" on Wonder Woman? To paraphrase Nancy Sinatra, "Balls. Start suckin'!"

The following is an interview with Sam Cushion, composer of several unofficial fan scores based on The Hunger Games book trilogy. Cushion has already scored the first two books with Music of Panem: Beginning of a Rebellion Part I and Music of Panem: Beginning of a Rebellion Part II and will soon be releasing his score for the third book, Music of Panem Part III: The Rebellion. While not endorsed by associated with the official versions of The Hunger Games films or novels, Cushion’s work has garnered a great amount of support from the fan community, and with one listen to his beautiful work, it becomes clear why.
Below, Cushion talks to Fanboy Comics President Bryant Dillon about how he got started with his very first Hunger Games score, his musical influences, and his upcoming releases!

For those of you savvy enough to recognize the question that leads this commentary, I gleefully pinch your butt cheeks in enthusiastic approval and freely admit to having ripped off Heidi Klum, ripping off Michael Kors on the "judgeway" of Project Runway. When a contestant has fashioned an outfit so heinous and obviously unwearable, this is usually a good go-to question to point out how utterly terrible an outfit is and beautifully humiliate the contestant at the same time. Being partially German and an avid proponent of a little schadenfreude, I wholly approve and laugh a little condescending, proud of myself snicker each time this gem is proclaimed.
