‘TMNT Ongoing #72:’ Advance Comic Book Review

Do you feel it?  Do you sense it?

Battle is upon us…

Sure, the political climate has been on the brink of chaos since even before last year’s presidential election, but at least we don’t have to fight what our heroes-in-a-half-shell have in store for them!

If you can recall from last month in TMNT #71, the storylines of TMNT Universe and IDW Publishing’s ongoing series have officially caught up to one another—but not in a good way.  The immortals of issues past (otherwise known collectively as the Pantheon), which include Kitsune, The Rat King, The Toad Baron, Aka, and more, have apparently been deciding the course of history for ages.  And now they’ve gathered to decide the fate of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and their friends.

That’s why things in TMNT #72 are not looking good for our pizza-loving reptiles when they mysteriously crash the Pantheon party.  And when their cover is blown, they’ve got nothing to do but hide!  Can Baxter Stockman transport them out of this new-dimensional world in time?  You’ll have to read this month’s issue to find out.

But don’t fret, because you’ll be hooked on these stories from comic book legends Kevin Eastman, Bobby Curnow, and Tom Waltz.  If you haven’t been reading any of the TMNT comics, now’s the time with this mutant-esque team of writers and artists.  With artwork this month from Dave Wachter and consistent colors from Ronda Pattison, there’s not a better comic book team out there!

I just hope it’s not the last we’ve heard of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles…

Until next month,
#TurtlePower
