The art in this book is beautiful and detailed, providing action shots of the dinosaurs mixed with more artsy ones. Before each page of dino art is a full breakdown of the dinosaur type and classification, including pronunciation, height, diet, key traits, and more. It is thoroughly awesome. I myself am a dinosaur lover, and I didn’t know some of the types in the book. The back of the book says it's for all ages, but with the complexity of the illustrations and vocabulary used, I would have to disagree. While it is aspirational to give little ones books that are too advanced for them (and healthy!), I don’t think a child under the age of 7 could enjoy this solo. That's not to say that a three-year-old won’t enjoy scribbling on the pages, but if you're thinking of holiday gift ideas, I’d say stick to the age range I proposed.
    
This was a fun and very educational coloring book. I want one now. This is a must buy for any dinosaur lover! Pick it up at your local comic book shop!
