Here at Fanbase Press, we strive to provide an outlet for up-and-coming creators to promote and showcase their incredible works. With thousands of creators utilizing crowdfunding platforms like Kickstarter and Indiegogo to make those works a reality, we will highlight these talented creators and their noteworthy campaigns through #CrowfundingFridays! We hope that you will join us in giving these projects a moment of your time (and possibly your support)!

Project #1: The Boys: This Is Going to Hurt – The Board Game

What it’s about
: The Boys: This is Going to Hurt is the fully licensed debut game from 1First Games, sister to the groundbreaking 1First Publishing. The game finds you and your closest friends trying to save the world from The Homelander… and each other! The Boys, created by Eisner Award-winning writer Garth Ennis and legendary artist Darick Robertson, has never been more popular. Now, for the first time ever, fans of the series will be in control of all the over-the-top action! In The Boys: This is Going to Hurt, players take on the role of newly activated CIA agents, unfairly tasked with saving the planet from the greatest threat it has ever known, the most powerful and dangerous superhero of all: The Homelander. In their quest to stop him, players will build an army from almost every character found in the books. Players will have to buy, blackmail, battle, power up with Compound-V, and resourcefully use an assortment of unique items from the comics.

Project #2: Strange Burden

What it’s about
: Strange Burden: True Stories from the Archives of Burden Strange, written by Scott Alan Gregory and with art by Thiago Motta and lettering by Micah Myers, is the R-rated sit-comic that readers have been waiting for! A maniac is on the loose, and seemingly random people are waking up to find their feet have been surgically amputated. Some victims have even died from the shock.
