#CrowdfundingFridays: ‘Jelly Vampire’ and ‘Full Bleed: The Comics & Culture Quarterly’

Here at Fanbase Press, we strive to provide an outlet for up-and-coming creators to promote and showcase their incredible works. With thousands of creators utilizing crowdfunding platforms like Kickstarter and Indiegogo to make those works a reality, we will highlight these talented creators and their noteworthy campaigns through #CrowfundingFridays! We hope that you will join us in giving these projects a moment of your time (and possibly your support)!

Project #1: Jelly Vampire
What it’s about: Norwegian artist Ida Neverdahl and Emet Comics, an LA-based publisher dedicated to telling stories created by women, featuring strong female protagonists, have launched a Kickstarter campaign for Jelly Vampire. This all-ages collection spotlights the outrageously funny adventures of 13-year-old Lulu Lulusen featuring strange creatures, cats, and unicorns . . . always lots of unicorns . . . and sprell. What’s sprell? Sprell is a Norwegian word that refers to a joyful and silly state of mind conducive to goofs, laughs, shenanigans, and jokes! It’s basically a philosophy on how to live the most fun life!

Project #2: Full Bleed: The Comics & Culture Quarterly
What it’s aboutFull Bleed is a brand-new quarterly, hand-crafted PRINT-ONLY 200-page hardcover “magazine,” curated and edited by IDW Publishing’s Dirk Wood and Ted Adams. By merging the best in comics, fiction, non-fiction, deep dive interviews, opinion, history, think-pieces and more, Full Bleed will be a reading experience like no other, and a beautiful artisan addition to any bookshelf. Looking through an international lens, but filtered through the unique perspective of the IDW:PDX satellite office in Portland, Oregon, Full Bleed will tackle all aspects of the creative culture, and beyond — comics, music, film, TV, fine art, photography, design, politics, and more. Full Bleed seeks total diversity: diversity in content, diversity in creator and contributor, diversity in genre. Every page turned will reveal a surprise.
The coolest backer reward: For a $25 pledge, backers will receive a hardcopy version of Full Bleed Volume 1.
