Here at Fanbase Press, we strive to provide an outlet for up-and-coming creators to promote and showcase their incredible works. With thousands of creators utilizing crowdfunding platforms like Kickstarter and Indiegogo to make those works a reality, we will highlight these talented creators and their noteworthy campaigns through #CrowfundingFridays! We hope that you will join us in giving these projects a moment of your time (and possibly your support)!

Project #1: Glarien #2

What it’s about: Glarien is a five-issue miniseries for mature readers set in the White Ash Universe. Written by Charlie Stickney, with art by Romina Moranelli, colors by Fin Cramb, and letters by Conor Hughes, the 32-page second issue of Glarien continues the story of the early days of White Ash’s most dangerous elf, as told through the eyes of Rachel, a young woman living in 1970s New York City. Think Red Sonja meets Taxi Driver... but with Elves and Demons.

Project #2: Home Free #1-2

What it’s about
: When Emmy and Sara get on the road to Idaho, they find out quick that while it’s short on miles, it’s long on problems. Sara thinks it’s best to take Emmy to reconcile with her parents after she helped her escape her violent pimp Grip. Emmy feels otherwise, but before she can make it known, a group of thugs recognize their stolen getaway car and want answers on the whereabouts of its owner. Home Free: Into the Woods is an emotional blast of hot tempers, fast cars, and old scars coming to a head in this second action-packed issue. Take a deeper dive into Sara’s past, and get a look at what’s coming for America’s future as the cracks in society become wide enough to fall in.

Project #3: Breaking Pointe: A Sci-fi Ballet Comic

What it’s about
: Breaking Pointe is a 24-page sci-fi ballet comic about Leon, an ambitious ballet dancer in training who dedicates his life to becoming the best dancer he can be. However, in a world where machines are fast replacing humans, Breaking Pointe asks: When will the human body become obsolete in artistry? And how far will Leon go to keep up with impossible standards? Set in the not-too-distant future, Breaking Pointe pits tradition against technology in a power struggle told through the beauty of dance and grisly, unforgiving body horror..
