#CrowdfundingFridays: ‘Chimera: Island of Dreams,’ ‘DOA,’ and ‘Mossvale’

Here at Fanbase Press, we strive to provide an outlet for up-and-coming creators to promote and showcase their incredible works. With thousands of creators utilizing crowdfunding platforms like Kickstarter and Indiegogo to make those works a reality, we will highlight these talented creators and their noteworthy campaigns through #CrowfundingFridays! We hope that you will join us in giving these projects a moment of your time (and possibly your support)!

Project #1: Chimera: Island of Dreams

What it’s about: In this graphic novel, our four heroes reach the island beyond the fog. Harriet, Colin, Ashante, and her little brother, Freddy, travel to the mystical island of Chimera where there are tales of kids living out their fantasies. They meet the island’s only inhabitant, Izzy, a bizarre girl that grants them endless power, but the true price of this newfound power isn’t revealed until it’s much too late.

The coolest backer reward: The coolest backer reward is the sticker we did as an homage to The Goonies.

Project #2: DOA

What it’s about
: DOA: An Osrynn Noir Story is an 84-page fantasy-noir graphic novel. It is a retelling of the 1949 public domain film, DOA. This is the second noir story in a yearly project that the creator started in 2020. Instead of doing drawings each day in October as part of that month’s usual drawing challenges, the creator endeavored to make a noir comic.

Project #3: Mossvale

What it’s about
: In the land of Mossvale, Nigel Hoo has discovered an ancient scroll that reveals the location of a long forgotten artifact. With the hired help of Sir Lucius, Nigel delves deep underground, only to discover that the artifact is anything but forgotten. It is tied to an evil plot that has been growing in the shadowy places of Mossvale.
