I recently sat down with awesome creator, avid indie supporter, and my friend Michael Avon Oeming before Turkey Day for my latest inspirational installment of Indie and the Geek.

Today, we have a great interview with Ken Eppstein of Nix Comics, thanks to one of our mutual indie friends putting us in contact. Let’s get to know him and his work a little bit better together, shall we?

When I first found out that my awesome friend Darick Robertson would be joining up with Grant Morrison to make Image Comics' title Happy!, I was ecstatic. Transmetropolitan remains my current favorite graphic series of all time, and Happy! is already shaping up to be just as amazing a piece of art and literature.

As you guys know, I contact a friend of mine who has made it in the indie comic book industry to sit down for one inspirational interview a month, and I am beyond Happy! to have Darick Robertson as my featured Indie and the Geek creator for October.

Hey, gang!  Welcome to another issue of Indie and the Geek. As part of the way I have Indie and the Geek arranged, I will be bringing in different indie friends who have made it happen in the mainstream by keeping the DIY mentality. As such, in this issue I’ve sat down with my Vancouver bud Peter Shinkoda from Falling Skies and Mortal Kombat: Legacy to bring you an interview that I hope will inspire you all to keep fighting the good fight.

Today’s Indie and the Geek interview may be familiar to some of you. I met Paul Taylor on Twitter, but you may know him by his web comic, Wapsi Square. Paul has been a good friend online, and it is a delight to finally get to sit down with him and give him this long-awaited interview on him and his delightful series.
 

A few episodes into the series, all of you fellow Falling Skies fans are nearly caught up with me in enjoying this exciting season. Those of you who know me know I work very closely with the Falling Skies cast, and it was a pleasure and a blast to interview my friend (online and off), Mr. Connor Jessup. Connor plays Ben Mason on Falling Skies, a character who spent most of last season separated from his family, only to step up into the main show spotlight this season. The studio has some amazing things planned for Ben this season, and below is a transcript of my interview with the man behind the middle Mason boy, if you'd like to learn more about him. -N
