DC Comics fans will easily know the name Nick Cardy. The prolific illustrator, designer, and comic book artist has been drawing for his entire life, with contributions to Apocalypse Now, Batman, Superman, Aquaman, and the Teen Titans to name a few. While fans best know Cardy for his decades-long association with DC Comics, readers will soon be able to enjoy his most profound, personal, and never-before-seen creations in Nick Cardy: The Artist at War.

THE DOLLFACE DAMES TO GO ‘FROM GEEK TO CHIC!’
LOS ANGELES, CA - Wednesday, February 20, 2013 - Set your phasers to stunning! The Dollface Dames (LA’s Theatrical Burlesque Troupe) and Fanboy Comics are presenting ‘From Geek to Chic! A Night of Burlesque for Your Inner Fanboy or Fangirl’ on Saturday, March 9th, at 9:30 p.m. at Magicopolis in Santa Monica, CA.
When they are not playing video games or reading comics, the staff of Fanboy Comics loves to geek out about theatre. There is something electric about watching talented performers while being part of a live audience. Fanboy Comics makes every effort to support theatre and to foster the arts in all forms. For that reason, we hope that you will join us for Theatre Unleashed's 2nd Annual No Limit Texas Hold'em Tournament on Saturday, February 23rd, at 7 p.m.! All proceeds from the tournament will benefit the independent theatre company's 2013 season of shows.
If asked to name one individual who embodies all of the wonderful things that comic books offer to readers young and old, the answer is clear: Stan Lee. For over 70 years, Stan "The Man" Lee has made his indelible impact on the world of comics, having been the legendary founder of Marvel Comics, as well as an exuberant spokesperson for its properties. Refusing to allow 70 plus years in the industry to slow him down, Lee has been quite active as of late through POW! Entertainment, a company that develops, creates, and licenses intellectual property for the entertainment industry, with recent projects including Stan Lee's World of Heroes and Romeo & Juliet: The War. Now, in order to bring POW!'s projects more directly to its fans (and, more imporantly, the fans in more direct contact with Stan Lee), POW! Entertainment launched TheRealStanLee.com on Monday, February 11th.
Geeks of the greater Los Angeles area unite! Nerdcore rapper Adam WarRock will be performing at Seth 'n Ralph's Comic Corner in Ventura, CA, on Monday, February 18th, at 7 p.m. for a FREE in-store show!
Fanboy Comics readers will know hip hop master Adam WarRock from his geek-themed albums, including The Browncoats Mixtape and Watch The Throne (X), as well as songs like "I Can't Stop Watching House of Cards" and "When the Winter Comes." (In addition, you may have heard WarRock's musical stylings if you recently tuned in to Fanboy Comics' weekly podcast, The Fanboy Scoop - Week In Review, as he wrote and performed the new Season 3 theme song!)
Love is in the air at Fanboy Comics! In this magical month of romance and enchantment, the FBC Staff and Contributors decided to take a moment to stop and smell the roses. In the week leading up to Valentine's Day, a few members of the Fanboy Comics crew will be sharing their very personal "Love Letters" with our readers, addressed to the ones that they adore the most.
From Atomic Robo to Peeta from The Hunger Games, the Fanboy Comics staffers are really just big softies under that geeky exterior. We hope that you will enjoy this glimpse into the minds (and hearts) of Fanboy Comics!
February 12, 2013
The Staff of Fanboy Comics would like to wish you and yours a Happy International Darwin Day! On this special day, just over 200 years ago, evolutionary biologist Charles Darwin was born, and we want to do our part to celebrate his life and his work. (PS: Abraham Lincoln was born on the same day . . . but he will have his own holiday next week. Let's give Darwin his own moment in the spotlight.)

Now, fans of the popular television series will be able to watch as the creators of their favorite shows discuss the process by which the shows were made.

The following is an interview with Erica Heflin and Amanda Rachels, the writer/artist team behind the upcoming comic book series Flesh of White. In this interview, Fanboy Comics Managing Editor Barbra Dillon chats with Heflin and Rachels about the real-life events that inspired the series, their own creative inspirations in art and writing, and how comic book readers can help with their current Kickstarter campaign to raise funds for the first issue's printing.
This interview was conducted on January 30, 2013.
