A cover can say a lot to the reader, and in the case of Demonic #1 (Image Comics), it says everything. The image of an ordinary man in an alley, his shadow twisted into something evil as it overtakes most of the cover - one can instantly surmise that whatever is between the covers cannot be good.
There’s something to be said for nostalgia. That perfect blend of great memories and melancholy that transports you back in time to a better place. For horror fans, there’s nothing closer to the time of astonishing horror than Tales from the Crypt.
If I’m being completely honest, I wasn’t quite sure what to expect when I saw The Legend of Tarzan on opening day. I didn’t know if the CGI would be cheesy, if Alexander Skarsgård was the right choice for the lead role, if they would put Edgar Rice Burroughs’ beloved book through a wood chipper, or if Margot Robbie would get along well with the phrase “period piece.”
The Blacklist #10 (The Arsonist: Part Five) wraps up the case against The Arsonist in an issue rife with suspense and excitement. Love is in the air at Fanboy Comics! In this magical month of romance and enchantment, the FBC Staff and Contributors decided to take a moment to stop and smell the roses. In the week leading up to Valentine's Day, a few members of the Fanboy Comics crew will be sharing their very personal "Love Letters" with our readers, addressed to the ones that they adore the most.
Dearest Naughty Dog,
I’ve sat on this letter for a very long time, trying to figure out how to write it without sounding like the crazy, stalker gamer girl you turned me into after I first played Uncharted. But, I don’t think it’s possible to write such a love letter. So, instead, I’ll tell you how Uncharted came into my life, how it has influenced me, how it has affected me, and try not to have you take out a restraining order against me, so I can’t come within 200 yards of Nathan Drake ever again.
