You guys, I’m obsessed!

Is anyone else playing Rise of the Tomb Raider that released this week for PlayStation 4?  No?!  Okay, I give you permission to stop reading this review right now and go and buy this video game!  I kid you not when I tell you that I came home from work this evening and got so lost in the game that my homework—this review!—is late!  (Sorry, Barbra…)

Each month, Fanbase Press Contributor Joshua Desjardins (a.k.a. Stagedork83) receives new and exciting subscription boxes from Star Wars: Smuggler's Bounty, and the Fanbase Press readers have a chance to live vicariously through the deliveries as he captures the thrilling unboxing process on video!

The Death Star has arrived in this month's Star Wars Smuggler's Bounty subscription box! Watch Fanbase Press contributor Joshua Desjardins (a.k.a. @Stagedork83) unbox these exclusive items, ranging from t-shirts to Darth Vader himself. Shout-out to Funko for completing their first year of Star Wars Smuggler's Bounty!

Has anyone else been reading TMNT Universe?  It’s really good, you guys!  The gods of comic books—a.k.a. Kevin Eastman, Bobby Curnow, and Tom Waltz—have created another hopefully ongoing series, and I’m curious to know if we’ll only see some characters in one series and the rest in the other.  But only time will tell…

Why I March

Happy Pride Month, my fellow fairies!  I know, I know.  We celebrate pride throughout the month of June, and October is LGBTQ+ History Month.  Although, if you ask me, my husband and I are gay all year long!  Who needs a few months when you can have twelve?

Has anyone else noticed that when franchises become too big, the creators only make them…bigger!!!

Well, that’s what’s happening in a specific dimension of New York City, and the timeline I’m referring to contains mutants and teenagers and pizza-loving ninjas.  Oh my!

Have you ever been part of a conundrum that lasted waaaaaay tooooooo loooong!?  Well, I bet Marty McFly knows how you feel…

Listen up, Tomb Raider fans!  We have less than a month before Rise of the Tomb Raider - a video game originally released for the Xbox One platform - will be available for PlayStation 4 on October 11th.

In the meantime, us Crofties (I new term I coined for any fan of Lara Croft) at least have Dark Horse Comics’ ongoing Tomb Raider comic book series to help keep our eyes unglued from the PlayStation store in hopes that the DLC version might arrive early. It won't. I already checked.

I did it, you guys! I didn't skip a month!

Naturally, I'm talking about being all caught up with our ongoing Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle comic book series, written by the legends themselves Kevin Eastman, Bobby Curnow, and Tom Waltz. If you haven't been reading this series, now is an excellent time to start, because I feel like last month started us on a whole new adventure.

A little over two years ago, I began writing for Fanbase Press.  At the time, we were still called Fanboy Comics, but here I am, 96 reviews (This marks my 97th.) and 11 editorials later, and I couldn’t be prouder of both myself and the entire Fanbase team.

Each month, Fanbase Press Contributor Joshua Desjardins (a.k.a. Stagedork83) receives new and exciting subscription boxes from Marvel Collector Corps, and the Fanbase Press readers have a chance to live vicariously through the deliveries as he captures the thrilling unboxing process on video!

This month, in Marvel Collector Corps’ August subscription box, the web-slinger himself, The Amazing Spider-Man, finds his way into the home of Fanbase Press contributor Joshua Desjardins (a.k.a. @Stagedork83) who unboxes all sorts of goodies inside.  From baseball caps to giant-sized Fabrikation plushies, as always, Funko does a great job supplying this all-exclusive every other month subscription service.  If you’re not a part of Marvel Collector Corps, watch this video to see what you’re missing out on!
