Love is in the air at Fanboy Comics! In this magical month of romance and enchantment, the FBC Staff and Contributors decided to take a moment to stop and smell the roses. In the week leading up to Valentine's Day, a few members of the Fanboy Comics crew will be sharing their very personal "Love Letters" with our readers, addressed to the ones that they adore the most.

Dear Jack Shephard,

You were wrong.
You were wrong, but that's okay.
It wasn't your fault!

Dear Harry Potter,

Yes. I know your name is Daniel Radcliffe. And yes, you are an amazing actor. Seriously! I saw you in The Cripple of Inishmaan on Broadway. Front row. We locked eyes during one of your big monologues, and I nearly wet my pants.  I was blown away by your performance. Always have been. I’m sure I always will. But, I just can’t stop thinking about you as “the boy who lived.”

It’s the beginning of February, and you know what that means. No, I’m not talking about Groundhog Day. (Although, if that was your guess, you were close . . .) I’m talking about the next comic book release of those hairy, global dominators, Dawn of the Planet of the Apes #3.

Each month, Fanboy Comics Contributor Joshua Desjardins (a.k.a. Stagedork83) receives new and exciting subscription boxes from Loot Crate, and the FBC readers have a chance to live vicariously through the deliveries as he captures the thrilling unboxing process on video!

Loot Crate is back!  And, this month’s theme is “Rewind.”  Watch Joshua Desjardins (a.k.a. Stagedork83) unbox this “blast from the past” with all things Nintendo, comic books, black ties, Star Wars, and more!  Some of this month’s LootCrate exclusives have been the best Joshua has ever seen! Check it out!

This is it. The end . . .

The end of what, you ask?! Why, simply the greatest crossover comic book I have ever seen! The greatest mashup between heroes the real New York City wish it had. That's right. I'm talking about the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles AND the Ghostbusters! I mean, who else were the Ghostbusters gonna call?

The next issue for the ongoing Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles series has arrived, and I would be lying if I said I haven't been anticipating this comic book since last month's storyline. If you remember, Donatello has secretly made plans with Shredder to help destroy Krang’s Technodrome, which he plans to activate in 24 hours.  I assume that 24 hours is about to pass, even though a month’s worth of time has gone by for us as readers, so let’s see what Attack on Technodrome: Part 2, Issue #42 has to offer . . .

Lately, each and every TMNT comic book I read is like a blast from the past! I just finished Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Adventures, Volume 9, and I would be lying if some of the characters in these issues didn't remind me of some wonderful childhood memories. Characters like Sting Ray and Jagwar and Leatherhead; I still remember playing with each of these action figures as if it were yesterday . . .

By now, I’ve become somewhat more familiar with Nickelodeon’s Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles series. Just the other day, I read a comic book based on two episodes taken directly from Season 2 of the hit TV show. But, after reading Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: New Animated Adventures, Volume 4, I’m glad someone has taken that similar style of Nickelodeon animation and created their own comic book adventures out of it. Or in this case, multiple writers and artists have done just that!

Wow. Talk about an amazing tribute to our pizza-loving heroes! I picked up Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Classics, Volume 9, simply because I’ve been reviewing all the other TMNT comic books, so I figured, “Why not?” But, man, this was more than just a blast from the past!

I must admit, I haven’t been a huge fan of the new, animated Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle series on Nickelodeon . . . until now!

If Volume 5 is anything like the series, then count me in! This collection includes two episodes of the animated series, “The Good, The Bad, and Casey Jones” and “The Lonely Mutation of Baxter Stockman,” both from Season 2. What I like about this series is that both episodes (particularly the one which introduces us to legendary character Casey Jones) remind us that our Turtles, as well as their friends, April and Casey, are nothing more than teenagers! But, teenagers with heart . . .
