For the latest edition of Geeks Care, the Fanbase Press staff would like to once again highlight the generous efforts of Jason Inman (co-host of DC All Access and US military veteran) as he endeavors to send 22,000 comic books to troops overseas by November 30, 2017, in collaboration with Operation Gratitude. Dubbed as the Jawiin Comic Drive, Inman is hoping to share the gift of geekiness with troops overseas to give them a fun reminder of home. Both new and gently used comic books are being accepted, and directions for how to donate the books are listed below. Fanbase Press is excited to join this endeavor, as we will be donating 160 comic books and graphic novels to the drive! We hope that you will join us in giving back to those who serve our country!

For the latest edition of Geeks Care: How You Can Help, the Fanbase Press staff would like to share news about an upcoming comic book signing at Comics Factory in Pasadena, CA, as part of the shop's Halloween ComicsFest 2017! Taking place on Saturday, October 28, 2017, from 12 - 7 p.m., the event will feature writer Jacob Semahn (#1 with a Bullet, Goners) who will be signing copies of his comics (published by Image Comics) from 12 - 4 p.m. with all proceeds benefiting the hurricane victims of Puerto Rico and those affected by the fires in Northern California.
