#CrowdfundingFridays: Sci-Fest LA 2016 and Escape Room in a Box

Here at Fanboy Comics, we strive to provide an outlet for up-and-coming creators to promote and showcase their incredible works. With thousands of creators utilizing crowdfunding platforms like Kickstarter and Indiegogo to make those works a reality, we will highlight these talented creators and their noteworthy campaigns through #CrowfundingFridays! We hope that you will join us in giving these projects a moment of your time (and possibly your support)!

Project #1: Sci-Fest LA 2016
What it’s about: Hollywood’s annual one-act play festival that celebrates all things science fiction.  This year’s event will take place from May 5-29, 2016.  Co-founded by veteran Los Angeles theatre producers Michael Blaha and Lee Costello and actor David Dean Bottrell (Boston Legal), Sci-Fest LA’s mission is to produce an annual festival of new, beautifully realized, and visually compelling sci-fi one-acts featuring many well-known actors from beloved sci-fi and fantasy franchises.
The coolest backer reward: The Deluxe Ticket Package contains two tickets to both of Sci-Fest’s programs (Week A and Week B), plus a Sci-Fest LA t-shirt and an invite to the Opening Weekend Party!

EscapeRoomProject #2: Escape Room in a Box: The Werewolf Experiment
What it’s about: Escape Room in a Box is the at-home version of the popular “Escape Room” phenomenon that has been sweeping the nation.  Filled with challenging puzzles, mysteries, and clues, this game would be the perfect way to spend an evening with family and friends.
The coolest backer reward: The Escape Room Ready reward provides you with a copy of the game as well as a refill pack to play again and again.
