The Kickstarter Report: ‘Boston Metaphysical Society’

If you are a fan of Steampunk, The X-Files, and great comic books, then you will not want to miss the Kickstarter campaign for Boston Metaphysical Society, an indie comic book series that combines all things sci-fi, action/adventure, Steampunk, and supernatural to make one heck of a great story!  Series creator Madeleine Holly-Rosing has already released three issues of the thrilling adventure series, but she needs your help to finish the last three issues of the mini-series and print all six issues in a trade paperback.

The story of Boston Metaphysical Society is set in the year 1895.  An evil from a parallel dimension escaped and now roams the city of Boston. The world has developed along the lines of Steampunk technology, with steam-driven, rudimentary computers and electronics, and dirigibles ruling the sky.  With it comes social and political upheaval, as not everyone is comfortable with change. In fact, many people fear it. That fear, and the violence that followed, caused a psychic rift to puncture the veil of space and time allowing the entity known as “The Shifter” to escape. Feeding on the resentment and fear between the rich and poor, “The Shifter” triggers a rash of murders. When great minds like Alexander Graham Bell, Nikola Tesla, Thomas Edison, and Harry Houdini fail to stop “The Shifter,” only the Boston Metaphysical Society can come to the rescue against the malevolent force!

To learn more about Boston Metaphysical Society, fans can watch a great video interview below.

Be sure to visit the BMS Kickstarter page, and don’t forget to check out the backer rewards, which include signed printed editions of the trade paperback, art prints, and a chance to be in the comic book! The Kickstarter campaign will close on Friday, November 15th, so be sure to donate soon!
