The web series launched its Kickstarter campaign with a bang, having been announced just before San Diego Comic-Con 2012 in association with Heavy Metal Magazine's 35th anniversary. In honor of the collaboration, Heavy Metal will be publishing its very first Kickstarter exclusive book, Heavy Metal Presents: The Art of 88, featuring industry greats like Simon Bisley (Lobo, Dredd), Kevin Eastman (Teenage Mutant Ninja Turles), David Mack (Kabuki, Daredevil), and Jim Mahfood (Spiderman, Kevin Smith's Clerks). In addition, you will recognize a few familiar names and faces attached, including Kevin Grevioux (Underworld), Carlos Gallardo (El Mariachi, Desperado), Damion Poitier (The Avengers, True Blood), Joseph Gatt (Thor, Star Trek 2013), Peter Mayhew (Star Wars), Alexis Cruz (Stargate), Satine Phoenix, and Jason Charles Miller!
